Sacramento Show – February 16th, 2013!
Hey All!
I will be returning to the Guild Theater in Sacramento, CA this weekend share some new songs and stories, while opening up for pop duo Jason and DeMarco! It has been way too long since I visited Sacramento and I am so excited to be back.

NOW, there is a little secret that you should know if you are planning on attending the show: If you get tickets in advance you save $5/ticket PLUS if you enter “ANDYKONG” (all caps) in the spot labeled “Enter Password or Discount Code” you save an additional $10/ticket. So in total, you save $15 and it also lets the organizers know that you are coming to see me!

There are so many things right around the corner (including a new album!) that I can’t wait to show you and for you to be a part of.

0 A New Song For You To Listen To
So, after a brief hiatus I am back with a new single! This last month, my girlfriend and I moved in to a new home and unfortunately during the moving process my studio was left homeless for a few weeks. But, finally last week I got it back up and running and finished up this month’s track — “My September”! This is a song I co-wrote with a great friend of mine, Starr Saunders, and I’m sure many of you will recognize this one, since I have been playing it in my live set for awhile now. I hadn’t recorded it until now and I am so happy with how it came out. I imagine and I hope that it can serve as the soundtrack to your lazy Autumn Sunday (don’t we all wish we had more of those!).
And, I was so lucky to have gotten the amazing Singer/Songwriter Jenn Grinels to come all the way out from New York to add her amazing voice to the track. Here is her website if you’d like to check out more of her stuff: http://jenngrinels.com/

It’s Here!
Yep, we’re now into the third month of my “Outside the Album” project and I am excited to release to you my newest single, “Kids”. I wanted to experiment with this one a bit, so instead of polishing up the track, I kept it stripped down to the very basics. “Kids” is a live in-studio recording of a song I wrote with a very talented friend of mine, Katie Ekin, who also appears on the recorded track. Hopefully this song brings you back to a simpler time, when your world was made up of sand castles and tree houses and when true friendship was something you were discovering for the first time.

1 July is here along with a brand new FREE SINGLE!
Hey There!
Wow, June sure did fly by and with it went the first month of the “Outside the Album” project! I hope you enjoyed last month’s release, “Out of Love” — I recently found out that it will be getting airplay in Hawaii on these radio stations: KEAO / KONI / KPMW / KRKH!
I locked myself in the studio for the past 4 days finishing up this month’s release and I just got it back from my mastering engineer (I was hoping to have it to you all on Tuesday but the studio’s computers went down!). But, I now have the track in hand and am so excited to release to you my newest single, “Crazy World”. This is the most uplifting song I have ever written and it will be perfect for those days when you need a little music in your life to make your day feel brighter.
Are you an Artist?! – Before I present the song to you, I wanted to give a shout out to any artists out there. Hello Friends, Family and Fans,
I am so excited to announce the beginning of my newest project called “Outside the Album”, the most ambitious and exciting endeavor yet in my musical career. You will be getting a lot more information about this new project when it kicks off in 2 days — on June 5th, 2012! But, the biggest thing you should know is that you will start receiving a brand-spanking new single from me on the first Tuesday of every month for FREE! To accompany the single, you will also be receiving a full month’s worth of exclusive related content — videos, photos, artwork, tickets, lyrics, and a bunch of other cool stuff leading up to the release of the next month’s single! Nothing like this has ever been done before and the best way I can describe it is like this:
This is the musical equivalent of a switch from watching a movie to watching episodes of a tv show.
There is so much to be excited about — you will be getting a constant flow of free music and new content, and I’m excited to work together in creating a tight-knit community centered around this new idea. Hey Everyone,
I’m so excited to announce that I will be sharing the stage with Jason Reeves and Amber Rubarth, two amazinggg Singer/Songwriters who’ve really got it goin’ on!
Jason was formly signed with Warner Bros. Records and co-wrote many HUGE hits including “Bubbly” and “Realize” (w/Colbie Caillat).
Amber won grand prize at last year’s Mountain Stage New Song Contest and has shared the stage with many notable artists including Jason Mraz, who appears on her latest album “A Common Case of Disappearing”.
This is a huge opportunity for me, and it will be my first time playing at Cafe Du Nord in SF! It is an all ages show and pre-sale tickets are only $10 (in advance)! It is going to be an earth-shatteringly awesome night of music and I would love for you to be there to support and share it with me!
