Two-and-a-half weeks ago my life changed for the better while my free time was drastically reduced.
The reason? My girlfriend and I got a baby black labrador… We named her Luna.
We had been talking about getting a puppy for a long time and taking care of a puppy is doable for us because I spend a lot of my time at home glued to my computer, so I can play with her in between updating my social networks, my website, and writing songs. BUT, holy cow did I underestimate the amount of sleep I would lose and pee I would clean up. Just today she peed on my lap, peed under my bed, peed in her kennel, and peed in the living room… 3 times. See what I mean? She is like a baby human with razor sharp teeth, that is constantly on the move with a serious vendetta to destroy the house and anything in it. But, it’s all worth it — at certain times (like 3:30am… and again at 4:30am) it may be harder to see that it’s worth it but all I can say is it’s a good thing she is so damn cute.
Now I should probably tell you about something music related: I have some pretty sweet shows happening this month in the San Francisco, Bay Area. First, tomorrow (March 9, 2012) I am playing at the kickoff concert to the “Petaluma Acoustic Series” alongside Bobby Jo Valentine and Kress Cole. Secondly I will be playing at Bazaar Cafe on Friday March 23 alongside Katherine Cole. Both shows start at 7pm!
One last note: I have been playing a ton of new covers in my live set these days and I think it’s about time that I post some videos of them on my YouTube channel. So, keep your eyes open for those!
Much love and music.

Dearest Andy. What a hoot this story of you and your puppy. My youngest and her partner just adopted a puppy and that must make me a Granny for the third time. Isn’t it so weird how we the general public have this perception that artists are all big and beyond and possibly too grand for something like a puppy wetting on them. Sail on Super Star. We all learn about life in our different ways. Godspeed.
Dear Mr. Kong,
Your single, ” Freedom and Photographs, ” is a work of art, original and easy listening. Your voice is so enjoyable. This is a winning song… or should be.
